Case study · Xuba

Thirteen years on, a website that fits a phone.

Xuba looks after the IT for small and medium businesses around Hamilton. Their website had served them since 2013, but it was built for desktop screens and had not kept up. We designed and built a new one that works on any screen, gives every service its own page and makes getting in touch easy.

01 · Where they started

A good brand on an old frame.

The old site had personality: the lime green, the purple and the line “Clever IT. Clever People.” What held it back was the build underneath. It was made in 2013 at a fixed width, so on a phone the whole page shrank to fit and the text became too small to read.

It had five pages. All eight services sat as one-line bullets on a single page. To get in touch you could call or click an email link, but there was no form, and nothing told search engines what kind of business Xuba was or where it was.

We kept what people knew Xuba by, and rebuilt everything underneath it.

03 · What we built

Built around what clients look for.

Someone looking for IT support wants to know three things: can you fix my problem, who are you, and how do I reach you. Every page answers one of them.

01Services

A page for every service.

Cloud, IT support, server security, system deployment, incident support and small business IT guidance each have their own page, with a plain explanation and answers to the usual questions.

02Contact

Getting in touch takes seconds.

A short form that filters out spam before it reaches Xuba’s inbox, with the address, phone number and email right beside it.

03Team

Faces, not just a logo.

A team page shows all fifteen people, so a new client can see who they will actually be talking to.

04Support

Remote help still one click away.

Clients who need help right now can still download the remote support tool from the support page, as they could before.

05Editing

Easy to keep up to date.

Pages, services, team profiles and FAQs live in a simple content editor, so a change does not need a developer.

06Foundations

Quick, secure and easy to find.

Hosted in Sydney, close to New Zealand visitors, with modern security settings and search details on every page.
